In this episode of the Livestream Hour, we take a look at the journeys of the brave and bold new automotive OEMs and the unique challenges and opportunities that their supply chain and logistics teams face in developing and implementing operations from scratch – with a case study of INEOS Automotive and its much-anticipated launch of the Grenadier 4x4.

While start-up OEMs may not have had to face plant and dealer shutdowns over the past several months, they have had no time to lose in developing international production and logistics networks and building new teams and relationships – remotely in the age of social distancing, of course. Such companies have the chance to develop their logistics with a blank canvas, whether in deciding which competencies to insource or outsource, or to introduce new software and digital processes right from the start rather than rely on legacy IT systems. However, they also often lack the economies of scale and long-standing partners that are so essential to success in automotive logistics and supply chain.

So how can start-up OEM supply chain leaders plan to maximise agility and dynamism while still achieving efficiency and stability in operations – not least during a time of such disruption? Join the conversation and learn more about how upstarts are bringing these exciting products and supply chains to life.

Gain valuable insights on:

  • Building new supply chain organisations
  • The ‘make’ or ‘buy’ decisions facing start-up logistics and supply chain management
  • Balancing agile approaches and economies of scale
  • Choosing strategic logistics partnerships
  • Implementing new technology and digital tools
  • Lessons on launching new products in a crisis
