The new CALIPRI gap measurement device now uses WiFi, plus it has been redesigned to improve the ergonomics says NextSense. The company claims functionality has also been increased through a software update; derivatives of a car line can now be displayed in one measurement plan, and centrally created plans can be distributed between sites and production steps.
The preprocessing of the recorded profile data in the sensor head – now reduced in volume – can be transmitted in seconds via WiFi to the output device, where it can be analysed in detail says the company. The software update offers users a number of new options, for example, derivatives, such as notchback or hatchback, can be created as variants of one measurement plan and selected at the click of a button.
