UK – As managing director, Jon Wakefield will assume overall responsibility for the operations of Volvo Car UK on a permanent basis, having served as acting managing director since July. His appointment has been confirmed with immediate effect.
Wakefield joined Volvo Car UK as sales director in 2012 after working for the Fiat Group, where he was sales director for Fiat and Alfa Romeo. He has previously held business development and sales roles at Porsche, Bentley, Mercedes-Benz and Daimler Chrysler. Wakefield also spent two years as business development consultant at Volvo Car UK in the 1990s.
Nick Conner has moved from the role as managing director to become CEO of Polestar.
