Mumbai, India – Girish Wagh, head of the Tata Motors’ small car project, has been appointed head of passenger car manufacturing and product development. This follows the announcement that Rajiv Dube has resigned from the position. Dube, who joined the company in 1983, played a pivotal role in Tata’s entry into the passenger car segment with the launch of the Indica hatchback in December 1998.
Tata has also announced that S. Krishnan, currently in charge of sales, marketing and support functions for commercial vehicles, will assume control of the company’s premier car division.
