Germany - Dr. Jörg Stratmann has been named as Mahle Group’s new CEO and management board chairman.
Taking up the post on 1 February, Stratmann has transitioned quickly into the role following the departure to ZF of former Mahle CEO Wolf-Henning Scheider.
Stratmann joined Mahle from Continental AG in 2008 and has since been responsible for managing the Mahle Behr Group, now the Mahle Thermal Management business unit.
Germany’s fourth-largest automotive supplier, the Mahle Group has sales of around €13bn with 77,000 employees.
“Dr Stratmann brings a wealth of automotive experience – from both a technical and a business perspective. He is the ideal person to head the Mahle Group,” stated Chairman of the Mahle’s supervisory board chairman, Prof Dr Heinz K Junker.
