Sperian has launched its new model for the Expert rage, the Optrel e650, which fulfi ls all requirements for use in general welding processes. The Optrel e650 offers an infi nitely variable shade level from 9 to 13, with sensitivity, delay, a grind function and a large viewing area. The e650 also features an enlarged display, allowing the welder to see more of his surrounding environment. Choosing the distance from the eye to the LCD, the viewing area can be enlarged by more than 10%, this in addition to the already 33% bigger LCD.
In grinding mode, the e650 offers all the impact protection needed for the eyes in one helmet. The cartridge can be switched into an ‘off’ state to avoid flickering. Thanks to a thinner helmet shell material and an optimised cartridge holding frame, helmet weight has been reduced by more than 15%.
