Pepperl+Fuchs has introduced G11 passive splitters to its family of G11 Series AS-Interface I/O Modules.
Available in flat cable or M12 male connector versions the company says they are ECOLAB certified and IP67- rated for reliable operation in wet environments.
This series of interface modules features a round housing design that enables the AS-Interface cable to exit the housing in any direction. The round design also features an O-ring gasket to make the modules resistant to water jets or submersion. Pepperl+Fuchs say the AS-Interface will supply power to sensors and actuators, and enables users to transfer data to up to 31 analog nodes per AS-Interface network.
The company claims it is resistant to electromagnetic interference, has a diagnostic function and can detect faults such as short circuits.
