SKF has introduced a new generation of wireless condition monitoring measurement devices. The Multilog WMx provides early fault detection and prevention, while also delivering information about correcting existing or impending problems. The new equipment also analyses operating conditions in order to provide an optimised maintenance schedule, helping to improve machine reliability, availability and performance. The compact, battery-powered Multilog WMx is described as being ideal for use in areas with limited space, collecting acceleration, velocity, displacement, temperature and bearing condition data. An eight-channel device, the data is transmitted over a standard LAN wireless network for analysis in SKF’s ‘@ptitude’ software. - www.skf.com
