The new Pasio 50 horizontal balancing machine manufactured by Schenck RoTec made its German debut at EMO 2007. Designed to be transported by crane, the machine is suitable for rotors weighing up to 50 kilograms with diameters of up to 600mm and is easy to commission. All that’s required apart from a forklift or lifting trolley is a connection to the power supply.
No foundations are required and the space-saving design has a 40 to 60 per cent smaller footprint than a conventional machine of the same kind. The mineral cast enclosure dampens vibrations 10 times more effectively than gray cast iron.
