Werth Messtechnik has presented its new FlatScope scanner, designed for inspection of flat workpieces and extrusion profiles in a production environment. The company says the main area of application is in the measurement of complex profiles (e.g. rubber, plastic, or aluminium profiles) as well as stamped parts, laser cut profiles, and circuit boards.
The scanner is equipped with an image processing sensor with telecentric or zoom optics as required. Magnification can be set via CNC controls and parts with profiles of 100mm thickness can be measured says the company. The WinWerth measuring software makes measuring with the FlatScope simple, claims Werth, enabling the machine to be used by untrained operators.
