Omron Scientific Technologies has introduced two new hingeoperated safety interlock switches ideally suited for use on smaller guard doors. The HP2008 Series is a compact 25mm wide x 85.5mm long, while the HP2011 Series features a slim 25mm x 115.5mm profile. Both are quick and easy to install and can be mounted on square tubing as small as 1 inch (25.4mm) in width.
These switches are available in solid or hollow shaft versions and provide force guided contacts with tamper-resistant operation. A NEMA 6 enclosure enables them to withstand water washdown cleaning while providing a minimum of 4 million actuations on small swinging guard doors. Each features a 360° rotating head that rotates in 90° increments to give four possible shaft operating positions.
HP2008 and HP2011 hinge-operated safety interlocks conform to European safety standards, carry the CE mark, are UL and C-UL listed, and BG approved.
