Stuttgart, Germany – The German weekly Automobilwoche reports that Porsche CEO Wendelin Wiedeking earned about £60m last year, six times the reported salary of Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche, and excluding bonuses totalling £70m.
Six Porsche executives are said to have shared total 2007 bonuses of £113m, prompting criticism from German Chancellor Angela Merkel and other politicians. Porsche’s nett profits rose 44 per cent in the first half of its current financial year.
