Germany – Bratislava was the venue for this year’s international metrology users’ meeting hosted by Perceptron. The three-day event featured presentations from metrology users, workshops, training seminars, demo stands and a visit to the local Volkswagen plant.
Visitors from nine countries included representatives of quality control, planning and purchasing departments from Audi, Bentley, BMW, Daimler, Ford, General Motors, Honda, MAN, Nissan, Opel, PSA, SEAT, Tofas/ Fiat, Vauxhall and Volkswagen, as well as two German line builders (Remech and IBS), who added their perspective to the varied discussions.
Remech offered a presentation on a new hinge and door assembly method implemented in co-operation with Perceptron.
On the OEM side, the audience learned about proven robot guidance and quality management solutions in the body shops of Volvo Sweden and General Motors Poland.
