Andreas Lehe joins Bentley as Board Member for Manufacturing, commencing 1 September and replaces Peter Bosch, who moved to CARIAD as CEO in June. Lehe will report directly to Adrian Hallmark, Chairman and CEO.
Lehe joins Bentley with an impressive CV from his time with Audi, where he most recently held the role of Head of Strategic Planning, responsible for the continuous development of the OEM’s production strategy, digitisation of production and logistics as well as the associated global production network.
He started at Ingolstadt in 1996 where he worked on training concepts for production personnel for newly installed plant. In 2010 he was put in charge of the A3 paint shop at Ingolstadt and restructure that area of the operation. At that point he is credited with masterminding the successful ramp-up of VW group’s most advanced paintshop.
Lehe has also held several senior roles across Audi Mexico between 2017 and 2019, including director of Production and Logistics and CEO, before returning to Ingolstadt in 2020.
Bentley says Lehe will continue the work to create it’s Dream Factory a digital-first, low environmental impact manufacturing facility.
Commenting on the new role, Andreas Lehe, said: “Joining Bentley Motors is a hugely exciting new chapter in my career.
