Tornos has introduced its Almac CU 1007 machining centre, with optional 6-axis robot. A cast iron housing with four linear guide rails fi xed on a prism and 1/10μm incremental glass scales ensures excellent fi nishing on all machined parts. Travels are 8.66” x 4.72” x 9.06” (X/Y/Z) with a 180o rotating transfer table and 30,000rpm motor spindle. Integrated tooling includes an ISO 25 Random-type 30-position tool changer, 3R gripper chuck, Blum tools pre-setting system using Z-Nano probe with a repeatability of ± 1μm, a 2-axis dividing head, and a 4-axis dividing head with vertical/horizontal unit. The versatile Almac CU 1007 also accepts a wide range of auxiliary modules and add-on equipment, such as a high-performance Staubli 6-axis robot. The TX 60L robot offers a wide range of movement in loading, unloading, palletizing, deburring, buffi ng, fl ipping and reloading the machining unit, with a precision of ±0.03mm.
