Motoman’s new MC2000 Master Cut robot is designed with high rigidity and precision drives to provide superior path accuracy – within 0.1mm, depending on the application – for laser cutting small holes and sharp corners. The MC2000 has a 50kg (110.3 lb) payload, suitable for a remote laser welding head, a 2,038mm (80.2”) horizontal reach, a 3,165mm (124.6”) vertical reach and ±0.07mm (0.003”) repeatability. It is fl oor-mounted with brakes on all axes. In addition to material cutting, the six-axis MC2000 can be used for laser welding and dispensing applications. Proportional analogue generates a control signal corresponding to the speed of the robot, available as an analogue voltage or on a fi eldbus network.
