Toolex claims its new thread milling cutters avoid the problems of breakage and swarf clogging. The company goes on to say that the new tools simplify thread cutting as internal and external threads, both right-hand and left-hand, can be cut using the same tool.
The new range covers 14 sizes, from M0.8 (0.57mm Ø) to M10 (7.9mm Ø), and is supported by range of matching 90° step drills. The thread cutters are available in carbide, with or without a Hard’X PVD Hard Surface multilayer coating, and the step drills are available with Hard’X coating only.
