Heru and Schuler have installed a servo press line in Lennestadt to provide tryout processes for forming dies. The new process and technology centre, ProTec, opened by the press and die manufacturers, is intended to enable clients to optimise their production processes in advance of final installation of equipment and tooling at their facilities.
Housed in its own hall, the press line will be used by HERU for die tryout and optimising, as well as for tests, start‐up and alternate production. However, the company will not be producing parts itself on the line and thus not acting as a contract manufacturer. In addition the servo press can be booked for demonstration and training purposes. A special seminar room with space for 50 persons has also been set up.
