Coatings specialists Zircotec has added two- and three-layer versions of its Zircofl ex thermal barrier foils. These are offered with and without selfadhesive backing and in a range of sizes, starting from A4. A simple and cost-effective heat management system, ZircoFlex is also both very light and very thin, weighing 0.46kg/m2 and just 0.25mm thick.
According to Zircotec, a single layer can reduce surface temperatures by 64%, with reductions of 77% and 85% achievable with the new double- and triple-layered product. Made up of a thin aluminium foil covered with ceramic platelets, Zircoflex is easily folded, bent and cut to fit in the tightest spaces, unlike fibreglass or pressed aluminium alternatives.
