The new MAWA-300A Linear DC micro TIG welder (arc welder) is suitable for joining conductive materials such as copper, coated wires, and dissimilar materials, claims Miyachi America. This unit produces welds with minimal heat affected zone by generating arcs between the workpiece and the tungsten electrode, says the company.
Miyachi says two key features of the new welder are Pulsation, which allows the user to selectively turn the current on and off during the weld, and Touch Start that drives the electrode to contact the workpiece and then retract at a given speed. This feature helps control the location of the weld, as well as reducing electrical noise emitted in the arc generation.
