The Global S measuring solution is the first in an Enhanced Productivity Series (EPS) that draws upon the range of smart technologies developed by Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence. These include user experience adaptations, enhanced software and advanced eco-friendly options. The company says EPS utilises these technologies to simplify tasks related to the creation, execution and analysis of measurement routines.
It’s claimed PC-DMIS software enhancements speed up common tasks such as the selection of probe tips and importing files. Further improvements include feature sensor mapping to allow the user to associate sensors to features faster when importing inspection plans. Using the Eco Mode+ feature, offers a claimed 90% reduction in compressed air consumption when the machine is in idle state.
