Based on patented stereo deflectometry, Isra says it has developed a method that is suitable for assessing the reflection optics of windshields and rear and side windows. The company claims this new Screenscan Reflected Distortion product allows measurement accuracy in the millidiopter range.
The company says that instead of the height of the surface, the system determines the local slope, ensuring a precise calculation of glass curvature from all viewing angles and within usual cycle times. It’s claimed this process meets the requirements for multi-functional applications such as head-up displays and ensuring the correct curvature of the windscreen providing a clear view, including in the camera area of the windscreen.
In addition to the glass and printed area, the system now includes the ability to inspect the gray band of the windscreen, the camera’s field of vision and the area of the ID number.
