The new generation of Mann+Hummel EDM filters, suitable for Japanese and European EDM machines, are able to deliver clean dielectric fluid from the start of operations, while also providing 30% longer service life in comparison to conventional filters.
This is made possible by using a new synthetic media and a triple-progressive bellows design within the filter. The plastic design is eco-friendly and easy to handle, while the plastic and fi lter media maintain stable conductance values of the dielectric fluid and therefore lengthen the service life of the resin cartridges. The media filters have a one to two micron grade (μm).
The triple-progressive bellows design enables the filter element to fill out the installation space of the filter housing, providing a larger filter surface area. Adhesive lines stabilise the bellows, meaning the entire surface is able to retain contaminant particulates.
