The new vario flex pneumatic workpiece ejector allows for the ejector depth to be adjusted flexibly by means of a retaining mechanism, and positioned in the machine exactly as required for the workpiece, claims Hainbuch. It can also be used as a basic end stop for coolant wash or air flush, says the company.
For precise, rigid clamping, the company recommends using its vario part system. It’s said to work on the same principle as a gauge block, and its height can be adjusted in 1mm steps with gauge discs. With an axial run-out of < 0.02mm at the part of the end-stop that touches the workpiece, this is claimed to be suitable for machining finished parts.
