Germany – The company has delivered two FocusQuantum FT6K machines for multi-ply fabric, helping ZF TRW, the Active and Passive Safety Division, to increase its capacity. The components manufacturer has just established a new cutting room.
“By evaluating the solution in accordance with established practices, we were able to confirm that FocusQuantum will help satisfy the projected output of our newest facility,” said Victor Seoane, head of Global Manufacturing Engineering for Inflatable Restraint Systems, ZF TRW. He added that it would enable his company to “significantly reduce” cutting costs per bag.
Lectra unveiled its FocusQuantum range in early 2016 and its cutting-preparation software was also certified by ZF TRW that year. The parts maker is pushing on with its plans for global growth, including the reinforcement of its capabilities in Europe.
The two companies have previously also done business together in Portugal, Poland, Mexico and China.
