Micro-Epsilon UK has launched two new ranges of laser triangulation sensors; the optoNCDT 1320 and the optoNCDT 1420 laser displacement sensors.
The company says the optoNCDT 1320 is an entry-level version for high precision measurement of displacement, distance and position. The controller is integrated in the sensor housing, which the company claims simplifies installation and set up. The sensor measures 46mm x 30mm x 20mm and weighs 30g , which it’s claimed enables it to be mounted in tight spaces on machines or other difficult-to-access locations. Micro-Epsilon says the sensor is suitable for highly automated environments and for applications in which high accelerations occur, including machine tools, robot arms and automated pick-and-place systems.
With identical dimensions to the optoNCDT 1320, the optoNCDT 1420 is designed for high precision, high speed, dynamic displacement, distance and position measurement applications, says the company.
