US – The position has been newly created at Vehicle Safety and Regulatory Compliance (VSRC), an organisation which was streamlined in 2014 to improve critical decision-making. Kristen Kreibich will be responsible for enhancing the safety culture at FCA USA.
Her key tasks will involve: promoting greater awareness of vehicle and occupant safety, both internally among employees and externally with regulators, industry observers and trade associations; highlighting FCA’s achievements in safety engineering; and sharing her insights about proposed legislation and the evolution of safety in the automotive industry.
“Everyone is a safety advocate at FCA US, because safety considerations are baked in to every component of every product we make,” commented Mike Dahl, head of VSRC. “But Kristen’s appointment is the embodiment of this mindset.” VSRC itself has doubled the number of its vehicle-safety personnel in the past year.
Kreibich boasts more than two decades of manufacturing, regulatory and safety experience, having joined the company in 1995 as a production supervisor.
