Japan – The company has said it will extend the halt of production operations at its Kumamoto factory (from its previously announced date of April 22) until April 28, in view of the extent of facility damage resulting from the Kumamoto earthquake.
Operations at this plant will be reviewed after April 28, with resumption of production depending on progress in repairing the factory and component supply. Honda stated that Yachiyo Industry Co., its subsidiary company producing mini-vehicles, will resume limited production from April 22. Other production facilities plan to operate normally.
