ESI’s Visual-Weld is an add-on for use in combination with the company’s Welding Simulation Suite, which provides virtual distortion and weld quality simulation at any stage of product design or manufacturing. According to ESI, Visual-WELD can also reduce the cost of producing welding assemblies within tolerance, helping to control component weld quality in terms of temperature, micro-structure and residual stresses. Consequently, it helps eliminate problems such as backside temperature, stress corrosion cracking and cracking through tensile stresses.
