    公司在堪萨斯城的工厂采用创新性油漆车间技术,明显提高了效率,节省材料,并减少浪费 今年4月份在堪萨斯城的装配厂开始生产新的福特Transit汽车。从车辆表面喷漆看再普通不过了 — 80%到90%的车全身都是白色,这个色系受到商用车辆车主极大的青睐。 但是应用这种色系的方法和喷涂材料的形成就不是传统方法可以匹敌的。比如,喷涂厂采用一种独创方法,在长达320英尺的磷化和电泳处理部门对汽车车身进行加工。更让人叹服的是,这种喷漆工艺本身被福特公司称作世界第一家 — 使用“双层湿喷”技术,使用一种结合了底漆和清漆特性的单层油漆,喷涂后在空气中晾几分钟。因此,这是另一种形式的“压缩工艺”,免除了两层材料和烤炉烘烤工艺(这是传统喷漆程序)。 回到未来喷漆车间和里面的工艺都体现了“回到未来”的元素。这一点已经得到福特汽车全球喷漆工程开发与启动总监Dennis Havlin的肯定。Havlin说,最重要的一点就是,在堪萨斯城的油漆车间其实并不是崭新的,尽管里面的东西是新的。他说,“我们把旧的隔间撤出来了,现在是崭新的生产线。”但是,这其实已经是第二次革命性的了 — 有点怀旧的方式 — 装置的特性是最为显著的了。Havlin承认,这种结合底漆与清漆特性、用于汽车喷漆的“单层漆”理念,其实并没有什么特别的。福特公司在过去就用过这种方法。 Two-wet monocoat process applied to Ford's new Transit van但是之前的技术主要是在底漆里加上一些清漆的特性 — 事实上,虽然原来颜色的品质可能保存良好,但是喷漆罩面缺乏弹性,并很快就掉漆了。 在这种情况下,把之前的两种油漆性能调过来,底层的油漆主要趋向清漆类型的材质,但也能把汽车表面漆成所需要的颜色。Havlin说,这么做可以保存油漆的光泽度,即使在4年之后也能保留90%。他肯定地说,“你不会看到以前那种掉漆现象。” 溶剂型材质有一个不能忽视的事实就是,带颜色的清漆层是溶剂型的,而不是水性材料 — 同样也适用于底漆涂层。Havlin表明,这就是主要的不同 — 事实上是特色 — 福特公司只要有可能,都会使用溶剂型材质。 Havlin解释说,大约10年前福特公司综合分析了目前最新涂层工艺的时效性,以及各种不同的因素,比如现存基础设施、成本、质量,还有环境影响。我们一共研究了共51种不同的情况,最终我们还是选定溶剂型材质。他说,“我们找到能与溶剂型材质粘附最好地溶液。”他还补充说,福特能一直坚持此种观点的主要因素,不仅仅是考虑单个涂层的性能,而且是考虑底漆与后来的油漆之间的“协同效应”。 创新性运输Havlin说,在堪萨斯尽管初期的磷化处理和电泳漆过程的化学工艺全部是“传统的”,但是喷漆线上的基本部门仍是极具创新性的。这种情况下,卡车车身的机械迁移就发生了空前的变化。一个主要的创新就是,卡车车身上固定安装了一个滑轨,直接贯穿喷漆程序,在一个附着点上,进入撤出每个油浸池。Havlin说,在这个过程中的每一点,都是全自动完成的,而所有过去由人工操作的“链接”和“解链”过程都全部取缔了。 这么做最明显的好处就是,车身进出油浸池的角度都比以前大得多。Havlin告诉我们,事实上看上去如此简单的改动,结果让每个池子都减小“48英尺到60英尺”。因而,整个磷化处理和电泳漆线都减少320英尺,虽然这个生产线是U型的,但是适当降低了相关周围建筑物的规模。 喷漆之前的第一件事,就是在一个不断流动的油浸池里上一层底漆,之后要经过三个站点,根据需要要给有些车身喷漆。Havlin说,基本上就是要么将汽车车体在一个池里进行新型单层喷漆,要么用传统的方法喷上底漆和清漆,在两个池里浸泡之后进行表面金属处理。他还说,福特汽车采用溶剂型材料,这对短时晾干阶段至关重要,因为所有底漆在上单层油漆之前都要进行这个过程。Havlin说,从汽车车体进入喷漆车间开始,到进行磷化处理、电泳漆处理,以及自己后的烘烤结束,大约需要4个小时。 颜色的选择目前,市场对一个颜色情有独钟 — 白色 — 这也是唯一的单层喷漆形式。Havlin强调,开发新的颜色一直是“昂贵的生意”,而且因为需求不高,因此在经济上并不可行。但是,他又说,只要有足够的需求,生产单层喷漆色调从技术上并没有问题。他说,“没有什么可以妨碍我们开发常规颜色。” 但是对金属表面处理过程,技术要比经济因素更为困难。Havlin解释说,在传统的先底漆再清漆的工序里,所需要的表面颜色包含在底漆里,所以就没有冲出清漆暴露出来的危险,因此就可以保证表面光洁度。但是只有单层漆的新工艺却不是这种情况,因此这里的技术并不是用来制造这样的表面。他说,“在清漆上出现金属片,这可能是外观角度上的一个大挑战。” 抓住机遇福特公司这种实际的方法,从Havlin为什么把技术开发放在第一位的解释中显而易见。他只是说,福特公司将这种技术视为一种从之前“三浸式”的合理进展。因此,在翻修后堪萨斯喷漆车间生产新款Transit汽车正好提供了一个恰当的机会。他说,“我们看到了机遇就马上抓住了。”有一个非常有趣的一点就是,虽然对所有有兴趣开发压缩喷漆工艺的开业者来说,这项特殊的工艺并不涉及任何专利,也不侵犯任何知识产权,但是Havlin强调说,福特目前是唯一研究这项技术的实践者。不过,这是汽车制造商深思熟虑后制定政策的结果。Havlin解释说,工厂里的工艺是由福特公司和另外3家喷漆系统供应商同时合作开发的,但只有1家真正参与到堪萨斯来。他肯定地说,新的喷漆车间是“单一来源”的。但是,他又补充说,福特公司的最大优势在于拥有许多很有实力的供应商,所以公司就有能力将这种技术的使用推广到全球范围内。 而且,在全球范围应用这种工艺,反过来因为使用起来并不比传统的麻烦而得到巩固。当问到这种工艺是否对技术应用或者直接环境条件的水平要求更加苛刻时,Havlin直截了当的回答说:“不是。” 事实上,这种工艺的广泛应用以最为时尚的形式进行诠释。在堪萨斯福特已经应用双层湿喷的同时,在中国江西省的江铃汽车合资公司也正在生产Transit汽车。值得注意的是,中国政府目前对新的汽车喷漆工厂使用水性材料极为欢迎。对这一点,Havlin说,工厂早在中国政策实施之前就已经计划并通过目前这种方法。 展望未来,Havlin表明没有什么可以限制进一步实施这种工艺,除了不适当的金属表面处理,虽然他说特别设计的喷漆车间要比“改装”更为合适。但是,他强调说,这种工艺“满足了我们对外观、性能和耐用性的需求。” Using this ...
