Two new ScandMist air fi ltration systems for capturing and removing oil mist from manufacturing facilities have been introduced by Clean Air America. The company claims the ScandMist 70D and 100D offer compact and effi cient oil mist fi ltration solutions for any size plant or facility. The new systems feature fi bre bed technology that allows oil mist to condense on the fi lter fi bres where it collects to form microdroplets that when large enough, drip off the fi lter and drain into the reservoir for future collection of oil. The fi lters remain unclogged, giving them a long life, says the company. An optional Variable Frequency Drive keeps the air speed at peak effi ciency for maximum air cleaning with minimum power consumption. An integrated silencer and built in acoustical lining keep the system quiet.
