Mapal says it is expanding its triple edged Tritan-Drill range, which now includes a new universal version, made from HSS that has been developed for small-series production.
The company says this tool offers stable cutting edge corners, reducing the chance of damage to the cutting edge and, it’s claimed, higher feeds and longer tool life in operation.
The company notes that piloting and centre-punching aren’t required due to the point geometry of the drill and that it is available in a diameter range of 8 to 40mm.
