Belgium – Effective May 1, Kai Sommerlatte will take the role of sales director for Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, Alcoa Wheel Products Europe. He moves from his position with the company’s Western European sales team, which he has led since February 2012.
Sommerlatte arrived at Alcoa in July 2011 to become sales manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Before joining the company, he worked for five years in the truck tyre business and for 18 years at Michelin, where he held a variety of logistics and sales positions.
Producing forged aluminium wheels for trucks, trailers and buses, Alcoa’s European manufacturing facility is located in Székesfehérvár, Hungary, while the service and distribution centre is in Paal, Belgium.
