Germany – As president of the region, Ulrich Schäfer will be responsible for brand and sales activities in 19 markets and will report to Christian Marti, vice-president and chief sales officer at the Frankfurt headquarters. His predecessor, Mark Kenworthy, has become head of Global Dealer Network at Gaydon, UK.
Schäfer joins Aston Martin from Polaris, where he was managing director for Germany and Austria. He has over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, having worked for BMW, Indian Motorcycles, Renault and Kia in senior positions ranging across marketing and brand management, dealer development and sales.
Andy Palmer, president and CEO of Aston Martin, thanked Kenworthy for his contribution to the company, noting the doubling of its sales under his tenure, and welcomed Schäfer, saying, “We are looking forward to working with Ulrich in delivering the Second Century plan”.
