Kimberly-Clark Professional says manufacturers should consider safety and sustainability together, in order to maximise their performance in both areas.
The company’s Efficient Workplace programme aims to help businesses eliminate hazards and enhance the sustainability of their operations by highlighting the best way to select, dispense, use and store equipment and supplies in industrial environments.
An example of this is to reduce packaging waste and the weight of safety-related products, by using the company’s G10 Arctic Blue gloves (it claims to fit 100% more of them in a case, offering a reduction in packaging waste of up to 55%), Heavy Duty Wipes and general maintenance cloths.
Another area addressed by the programme offers customers an enclosed solvents system – the WETTASK System – which claims to reduces VOC emissions by as much as 20%.
