UK – The 50,000ft2 facility will be dedicated to the manufacture of carbon multiaxial fabrics specifically for high-volume automotive applications. The installation of a new Karl Mayer Malitronic carbon line is in progress and the company anticipates that this additional line will be commissioned in March.
The opening of the facility extends FORMAX’s automotive commitment to providing engineered fabrics and follows the launch of a number of new automotive fabrics during 2013. During the past five years, the company has been establishing itself as a prominent supplier of carbon multiaxial reinforcements in the automotive sector and is working closely with a number of European Tier 1 manufacturers and OEMs.
