Mexico – The new manufacturing and distribution facility will begin full production in 45 days, turning out precision-formed tubing and sheet-metal structural fabrications plus exhaust tubing, mufflers and emissions systems components for commercial, off-road and recreational vehicle-makers.
The 180,000 sq. ft facility will be equipped with the latest tube and flatbed lasers as well as manual and robotic welding cells. Computer numerical control (CNC) tube benders will ensure that tolerance and quality controls meet OEM requirements. The workforce will grow to 220 over the next 12-16 months.
“Our new facility in Mexico is in direct response to our customers who sought local technical and manufacturing support and reduced logistics costs,” commented Tom Gosnell, CEO of Nelson Global Products.
Monterrey is the US company’s fifth international location; a sixth will open later this year in India.
