The Endurance series pyrometers are suitable for primary and secondary metal production applications, claims Fluke Process Instruments. The infrared thermometers take non-contact measurements and can be used to control process stability, product quality and fuel efficiency, says the company. The units offer a 1µm, 1.6µm, or 2.4µm spectral response and the Endurance series covers measured temperatures from 50°C to 3,200°C across a few models so requiring fewer units to monitor the entire process.
The series features a backlit rear-panel and can be remotely operated. Profinet, RS-485, and industrial ethernet interfaces are available. The company says it has also integrated a range of sighting options and offers a high-resolution on-board video camera for remote monitoring of the application and sensor alignment via Industrial Ethernet.
