Our client, an internationally respected engineering company has developed patented technology which extracts energy from waste heat generated by industrial processes. Based in Scotland the company was recently named as the ‘one to watch’ by technology investment bank GP Bullhound in the prestigious GP Bullhound Connect Awards, this award follows a listing in the important 2013 Global Cleantech 100. 

The Role: The role requires a candidate with a manufacturing background who is genuinely hands-on. You will be tasked with establishing fit-for-purpose assembly operations, establishing and operating ISO 9001, establishing and running continuous improvement programmes and waste reduction techniques. The right candidate will be responsible for supply chain establishment and management, including SQA, developing and managing production, both in-house and by strategic outsourcing, (establishment and management of sub-contract manufacturing operations) as well as mentoring mechanical and electrical assembly and production testing. 

The Person: Extrovert, honest, direct, team player/co-operator, motivated, tenacious, able to communicate effectively orally and in writing, planner, methodical, meticulous, “can make things happen”, motivator, pragmatic.  Significant relevant experience and achievement in mechanical engineering industry, (automotive preferred), both standard products and capital contracts.  Able to support the business as it grows in volume and complexity, KPI thinker.

Qualifications: B.Sc., engineering or manufacturing technology.  (Preferably C. Eng.)
