Serbia - The supplier has increased the size of its factory in Zrenjanin by a third. It is used to make complex plastics components for the automotive industry, including exterior and interior parts, body trims and engine parts.

"Zrenjanin site has proven excellent performance and quality records and this extension is a sign of our confidence in the plant and our commitment to better serving our customers in the region where they operate. Serbia is growing in importance as an automotive hub, so our increased presence in the country reflects this," commented Pierre Boulet, CEO of Novares.

The extended area of the plant, which cost €5.25m (US$6.07m), covers 3,000 sq.m. It houses five injection presses and a clean room with two production lines for engine components and leak testing.

Novares ships components from its Zrenjanin plant to several OEM customers, including Fiat, PSA Group, Jaguar Land Rover, Suzuki and Dacia. The company has recently witnessed growing demand for its products in several markets across the world, and as such, has also opened several plants recently.

Its first production plant in North Africa has started operating. It is situated in Kenitra, Morocco, and is only 15km from a newly-opened PSA facility as well as close to the Renault site in Tangier. The company also opened a third production plant in Mexico at the start of 2018, located in Chihuahua.
