Graco has provided Audi with three E-Flo DC dual control electric circulating pumps for the OEM’s paintshop at the Neckersulm plant. Audi wanted to use the same type of pump to handle the three sensitive paint products they were using.
Graco says it’s solution was to integrate the three E-Flo pumps in three complex systems (master batch, adhesion promoter and hardener - catalyst), all controlled by an external control panel, an S7 via PROFINET communication, linked to the paintshop line PLC. The system supplies paint robots and a manual paint station with the necessary fluids.
